The Minister of Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has praised i2 Development Ghana Limited for its ambitious Prestige project in Accra, stating that the project mirrors the government’s vision for a ‘modern and fair’ society. At the grand launch within the Kotoka International Airport enclave, he remarked, “This is a testament to the conducive environment created by the government for private sector investments in the housing sector.”
The minister highlighted the effective collaboration between the public and private sectors, emphasizing its role in addressing Ghana’s housing deficit, which has reduced to 1.8 million. He applauded the partnership that led to the realization of the Prestige project, considering it a testament to the potency of such collaborations in achieving mutual objectives.
Referring to the transformation of the Kotoka International Airport enclave over the past two decades, the minister noted the success of the Airport City 1 project and the upcoming Prestige development’s contribution to reshaping the national capital’s skyline. Led by i2 Development Ghana Limited, Prestige aims to enhance the beauty of the Airport skyline, redefine luxury living in Accra, and boost tourism receipts.
Mr. Asenso-Boakye emphasized the alignment of the Prestige project with the government’s vision for a contemporary and equitable society, incorporating innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity. He assured i2 Development Ghana Limited of the government’s commitment, support, and guidance in fostering resilient urban infrastructure development.
Expressing gratitude, Youssef Aitour, Co-Founder and Managing Director of i2 Development Ghana Limited, thanked the government for creating a conducive investment climate, acknowledging its significant contribution to the project’s success and the creation of over 2000 job opportunities.
The Prestige project, strategically located near the Airport Shell Fuel Station and Marina Mall, aims to provide luxury living options, with renowned partners such as Michelleti and Co. as the general contractor and Casa Trasacco contributing their touch of elegance to each apartment within the development.
